Filament

Filament was created as a lighting installation for Melbourne band Winterpark's 'Sunday Morning' album launch & exhibition held at Dear Patti Smith in July 2011. This was a response to track 5 'Hiccups' on the album which for me conjured up imagery of an old fisherman at sea. The brick-layers nylon was hand woven around the wire frames to form a skin which resembles fishing nets and cages.
